Biomedical Engineers: Repairs, tests, installs, calibrate and maintain medical equipment used in hospitals, clinics, healthcare centers, nursing homes, doctors’ offices, etc.
Also, they perform preventive maintenance, evaluation and recommendation, technical and cost analysis of all related medical devices.
Complex medical equipment and systems in areas like Operating Rooms, ICUs, Cardiology/Telemetry, Radiology, Laboratory, etc. is also a responsibility of Biomedical Engineers and Technicians.
